Mspark has partnered with the Dear Jack Foundation (DJF) for the past four years as the sponsor for the annual Raise Your Voice fundraising challenge. The DJF supports adolescents and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their annual Raise Your Voice Challenge works to raise funds supporting their programs. Mspark celebrated its fourth-annual Dear Jack Foundation (DJF) Raise Your Voice Challenge Day on Monday, October 12th. While it looked a little different this year with most team members working remotely due to COVID-19, the commitment to supporting DJF was unwavering!
“I am truly blown away and overwhelmed the response that we have had over the years and especially this year,” said Mspark CEO Steve Mitzel. “The funds raised through our event this week and throughout the year will have a positive impact on the lives of adolescents and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. The Dear Jack Foundation is a passion of mine; seeing our team’s unwavering support of it is truly amazing.”
This year’s virtual event lineup included a cash raffle, bingo, and a silent auction featuring AirPod Pros, a stay at a local resort, dinner at a popular gourmet restaurant, gift baskets, and more.
The highlight of the day was a private concert for the Mspark team by founder and musician, Andrew McMahon, and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed hearing Andrew speak about what inspired him to start the Dear Jack Foundation followed by some crowd-favorite songs. He had the audience in the office and those joining virtually singing along and enjoying the music. Mspark has rallied over four years to raise nearly $100,000 for the DJF.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of Mspark and its employees. The company has championed the Dear Jack mission in a way that is unparalleled to any other corporate partner,” DJF Executive Director Andrea Schwartz said. “The funds Mspark raised this year will allow us to welcome 10 new young adult cancer patients into our program in 2021—providing hope and guidance during one of the most difficult times of their lives.”
