Renata Pedreira

Vice President and Corporate Controller

Responsibilities – As Vice President Corporate Controller, Renata Pedreira oversees the accounting, payroll and billing teams, as well as the credit and collections teams.

Background – Renata joined Mspark in February 2016 as Director of Accounting and was promoted to Corporate Controller in May 2018 and then to Vice President in April 2020. During her time with Mspark, Renata has helped build a high-performing accounting and finance team, streamlined accounting processes, as well as shortened the financial close process. In addition, she assisted with due diligence and integration of six acquisitions and was part of the team that implemented savings initiatives across manufacturing, print, paper and freight. Prior to joining Mspark, Renata spent several years in public accounting prior to working in the private sector.

Education – Renata earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University and is also a CPA.

Outside the office – Renata is originally from Brazil and came to the United States to attend college and play volleyball. During her undergraduate studies, Renata was an All-American volleyball player for Freed Hardeman University, earning several individual conference titles and was an outstanding scholar. She’s even in the FHU Hall of Fame. She lives in Birmingham with her husband, Almir, and her daughter, Melissa. She enjoys working out, going to the beach, traveling, and playing soccer with her daughter.
