Brian Blackman

Responsibilities – Brian serves as Interim CEO and Chief Customer Officer. His responsibilities include leading and developing our Customer Experience, Marketing and award-winning Creative Services teams. His focus is on innovation, process improvement, increasing velocity and creating a culture that produces valuable customer experiences and results.

Background – Since joining Mspark in 2012, he has held various leadership roles within Mspark. These roles have included Creative Director, Senior Director of Creative Services, Vice President of Customer Experience and Creative Operations and most recently, Chief Customer Officer.

Prior to joining Mspark, he held a variety of senior-level positions in the corporate and agency spaces, including roles at blr|further, o2ideas, Healthsouth and Collegiate Sports Partners. In these roles, he worked with large brands like Verizon Wireless, Chick-fil-a, Honda, Toys “R” Us, American Red Cross, The PGA Tour, Arby’s, Subway and The Southeastern Conference.

Education – Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from University of Alabama – Birmingham with a minor in Psychology, and he studied Spanish at the University of Guadalajara – UAB Study Abroad Program. He has also completed the Strategic Leaders Program at the University of Michigan – Stephen M. Ross School of Business, as well as the Executive Education Program at the University of Notre Dame – Mendoza College of Business.

Outside the Office – Brian lives in the Birmingham area with his wife, Stacy, their enormous Maine Coone cats Andre and Hogan, and their dog Phoebe. In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time at Lake Martin boating, watching college football, and is the unconfirmed greatest fantasy football manager of all time.
